About the RIMC school
The Rashtriya Military Indian College is a military school located in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The school gives admission to both girls and boys. The students attend RIMC with a dream to join National Defence Academy, Indian Naval Academy, and subsequently the Indian Armed Forces. Generally, students of RIMC hold the highest ranks in the Army, Navy, and Air Force of India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.

Admission to RIMC
Every year, the Rashtriya Military Indian College selects students from all over India through a national-level competitive exam, the RIMC Entrance Exam. The exam is held twice a year in each state. Once you clear the entrance exam, you are expected to go through a medical fitness test to be admitted to the school. Every year, the school selects approximately 50 students in two intakes into class 8.

- Domicile Certificate
- Birth Certificate (issued by Municipal Corporation / Gram Panchayat)
- SC/ST Certificate (if applicable)
- Previous school Transfer certificate
- Certificate from Principal of the previous school stating the date of Birth
Eligibility
If you want to get your child’s admission to RIMC, then keep in mind that he must be studying in Class 7 and the age of your child must be between 11.5 and 13 years at the time of the beginning of term.
Entrance Examination
The entrance examination of the Rashtriya Indian Military College comprises three steps: The first is the written exam consisting of three parts: English (125 Marks), Mathematics (200 Marks), and General Knowledge (75 marks). Students have to score at least 50% in each subject to qualify.
In the second step, students who got shortlisted through the written test are called for Viva-Voce which is 50 marks. This will assess your child’s intelligence, personality, and confidence. In the third and final step, you have to pass a medical test. This will ensure your final selection.
