About the Sainik School

Sainik Schools were founded in 1961 and since then, the schools are providing a great platform for students who have a dream of joining defense services. Basically, the schools prepare students physically and mentally for admission to the National Defence Academy in Pune and the Indian Naval Academy in Chilka. At present, there are 33 Sainik Schools in our country.

Admission Process

The Sainik School Admission entrance exam is conducted once a year for admission to class 6 and class 9 for its 31 schools. Once the candidate clears the written exam, the examining committee will call you for a medical test.

Eligibility Criteria

If your age is between 10 to 12 years on March 31, 2022, then you can fill out the AISSEE admission form 2023 for class 6. Meanwhile, if your age is between 13 to 15 years on March 31, 2022, then you are eligible for Class 9.

Students get admission to Sainik School only if they secure a minimum of 25% marks in each subject of the exam and 40% marks in aggregate of all the subjects of AISSEE 2023.

Admission to Sainik Schools will be based on the performance of candidates in the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE). You must be well aware of the syllabus of the entrance exam to get through it. For class 9, Mathematics, English, Science, and Social Science will be there.
